FIRST TIME VISIT
Checking out a new church is a big deal. We want anyone to feel welcome at First Baptist Church when they come to worship, so we've put together a little information to help you prepare for your visit to First Baptist Church. Should you have any other questions, please let us know.
For information about our Tuesday evening Worship Service, The Gathering, visit here.
We're located on the western edge of downtown Elizabeth City at 300 West Main Street, just two blocks west of Muddy Waters Coffee Shop.
Services at FBC offer elements of traditional and contemporary worship. The sermons are typically narrative in style and connect Scripture with everyday life. You can check out a service online here. During morning worship, we have childcare for infants and a children's worship for kids through 5th grade.
Parking is available in the First Baptist Church Parking Lot at the corner of
Main and Dyer Streets as well as street parking on Main St., Dyer St., and Colonial Ave. Handicap parking is available on Colonial Ave.
DRESS FOR WORSHIP
You'll find a variety of dress at First Baptist, so come in what you are comfortable wearing to worship.
Some are comfortable in suit and tie or dress and some in khakis or jeans, it doesn't matter, we're just happy
that you're here with us.
The main entrance to the Sanctuary is on Main Street. You can easily access the Church Offices and nursery through the Colonial Street entrance and
the Educational Building through the Dyer Street entrance.
We mean it when we say anyone is welcome. Whether you're just checking out a life of faith or you've been in the faith for years, you're welcome here. It doesn't matter your race, gender, sexuality, or socioeconomic status, you're welcome at First Baptist.
